Celebrating a remarkable achievement! Dr. Floyd T. Cunningham has been honored with the title Professor of Church History Emeritus and President Emeritus.
On February 4, 2025, Dr. Cunningham was honored during the fifth chapel service of APNTS by Dr. David Ackerman and President Larry Bollinger. The Asia Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary has named Dr. Floyd T. Cunningham an Emeritus Professor of Church History and President.
Dr. Floyd Cunningham has served in various roles at APNTS, including as Academic Dean and Interim President. He was responsible for significant developments such as the opening of extension programs in Papua New Guinea and Myanmar, and the establishment of the Bresee Institute East to promote urban ministry. He has also contributed to the development of programs related to Holistic Child Development.
Dr. Cunningham’s extraordinary contributions to Church History, as well as his love for teaching, research, and mentoring, have had a significant impact on the academic world. His dedication to academic success and knowledge advancement will serve as an inspiration to future generations of scholars.
