Subcontinent Cultural Day

The 6th chapel service indeed showed how APNTS is bridging cultures for Christ. “On Subcontinent Cultural Day, an Indian carried the Pakistan flag. This is significant because of the tensions often seen between these two nations,” said Dr. Mitchel Modine. Christ unites us as one indeed. The program started with praise and worship in the Indian language, followed by Jeevan, one of the Indian students, presenting the vast history of India. He made a short exhortation from 1 Peter 4:13 on how Christians in India are living for Christ.

Nimyo and Nissy, also students at APNTS, showcased an Indian presentation. Unfortunately, Faraz’s family was not feeling well that day and was unable to attend and present the rich culture and history of Pakistan. Jeevan took their place and presented on their behalf. The program included a short quiz game, and those who answered questions about India and Pakistan received some prizes.

After the program, our students from India provided their well-known meal, Chicken Curry. It was a sumptuous meal for the APNTS community. The Subcontinent Cultural Day is another testament that through Christ’s work, Christ himself is our peace, and we are one in him.
