Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary (APNTS) is seeking a dynamic, detail‑oriented, and mission‑driven Finance Manager to join our team. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations including cash receipts, disbursements, and accounting entries
• Review and approve Request for Payments (RFPs), purchase orders, and vouchers
• Monitor bank accounts and ensure timely deposits, transfers, and reconciliations
• Coordinate budget preparation and regular financial reporting
• Supervise finance staff and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
• Manage payroll, government remittances, and financial records for staff and faculty
• Facilitate scholarship fund disbursements and donor reports
• Communicate regularly with leadership on financial status, concerns, and opportunities
• Provide support during audits and help develop strategic financial plans
• Uphold ethical financial practices and support APNTS’s core values and mission

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial management, preferably in nonprofit or educational settings.
• Strong knowledge of fund accounting and nonprofit financial regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Understanding of and alignment with the seminary’s mission and values.

Preferred

• Experience in a non-profit, educational, or faith-based organization
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation and government reporting (e.g., BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)
• Capacity to mentor and build capacity in the finance team

• Supervises: Accounting staff
