A brand-new year and a brand-new semester are now underway at APNTS. Our first chapel of the semester was held this week where returning students were welcomed along with our incoming new students. The new students were introduced and greeted warmly, and presented with a gift from the Student Body Organization.
Our sermon speaker to start off the new year was APNTS President, Dr. Bruce Oldham. In continuing this year’s chapel focus of “keeping our eyes on Jesus,” Dr. Oldham took his text from Acts 8 and stressed the importance of not following the “wrong” Jesus. Some traits to be aware of as followers of Jesus is letting our focus get on the wrong things – Status (self-importance) – Stuff (material possessions) – Sway (power and influence). Rather, we should strive to follow Jesus in Surrender, Sacrifice and Serving.
If you would like to listen to Dr. Oldham’s full sermon again, or hear it for the first time, it will soon be online on our website. Be sure to visit https://apnts.edu.ph/sermons/service-type/chapel/ to listen to past chapel sermons.
