APNTS is pleased to welcome back, Dr. Dan Behr, and wife, Coralee, to the APNTS family. Dr. Behr was with us last year teaching communication, and returns to chair the communication department and also serve as director of the Fairbanks International School of Communication. It has been a number of years since Coralee was last with us, so we are happy for her return as well.
Dr. Behr completed his bachelor’s degree in communication and psychology at Olivet Nazarene University. He went on to get his master’s degree in communication from the University of Dayton, and obtained his doctoral degree in rhetorical theory and criticism from Ohio State University. Dr. Behr has been teaching at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, since 1986.
Coralee also graduated from Olivet Nazarene University, and spent her career as a social worker. She is now bringing her interests and skills to assist with the AEP English program. Dan and Coralee are among the first to participate in the Global Faculty program for the Church of the Nazarene. This new concept allows Dr. Behr to divide his time teaching between two institutions, MVNU and APNTS.
Dan and Coralee are parents to three grown sons, grandparents to three granddaughters and a much anticipated grandson who is on the way. The Behr’s will be with us until May 18th. Please be sure to greet Dan and Coralee, and give them a warm welcome.
