In a landmark move to strengthen theological scholarship and contextual publishing across Asia and the Pacific, Langham Publishing Asia and Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary (APNTS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formalizing their collaborative partnership.

The MoU, signed at the NCEE Building on the APNTS campus, outlines a shared vision to equip church leaders with biblically faithful, contextually relevant resources and to elevate Asia-Pacific theological voices through joint initiatives.

Langham Publishing (Carlisle, United Kingdom), the publishing arm of Langham Partnership, is globally recognized for producing theological literature that reflects the lived realities of the Majority World. Its mission is to support Christian leaders through biblically grounded, locally resonant scholarship.

Key areas of cooperation include:

Publishing Collaboration: Establishing a peer reviewer network from APNTS faculty and alumni, and hosting annual manuscript development workshops led by Langham editors and authors.

Academic Integration: Incorporating Langham titles into APNTS syllabi and co-hosting seminars and conferences on themes such as Majority World ecclesiology and trauma-informed theology.

Scholarship and Mentorship: Engaging Langham Publishing Authors and Scholars as guest lecturers and research collaborators to enrich academic life at APNTS.

Facilities and Logistical Support: Providing venue space at APNTS for Langham events, including book launches and editorial workshops.

Dr. Marie Joy Pring-Faraz, Academic Dean of APNTS, has been appointed as the official coordinator of the partnership. “This collaboration is a tangible expression of our shared commitment to justice, contextual theology, and the flourishing of Asian scholarship,” she said.

Signatories to the agreement include Dr. Federico Villanueva, Regional Commissioning Editor for Langham Publishing Asia, and Dr. Larry Bollinger, President of APNTS. Witnesses included Dr. Pring-Faraz and Dr. Nativity Petallar, Associate Dean for Doctoral Studies at APNTS.

We praise God for this valued partnership that places APNTS at a strategic vantage point to serve God faithfully with global partners. Glory to God!
