As a part of a ministry enhancement initiative, APNTS and the Philippine Field Office welcomed 16 Nazarene pastors from around the Philippines to take part in two APNTS summer module courses. These courses were offered to Philippine Nazarene pastors at a minimal charge thanks to the collaborative effort of APNTS, the Philippine Field Office and several very-generous Korean partners.
Dr. Shin Min Gyoo, senior pastor of the Sangamdong Church of the Nazarene, brings his expertise in ministry to the thriving city Seoul. He is offering a course in Evangelism and Urban Church Development, which explores a Wesleyan-holiness approach to evangelism and ministry in urban Asian contexts. Dr. Jeong Myong Muk, who is senior pastor of Onnuri Methodist church, is helping students to hone their homiletical skills in a course called Expository Preaching.
Both courses are offered at a minimal charge thanks to generous scholarships from the professor’s respective churches and another anonymous Korean pastor generously covered a great deal of the course’s miscellaneous fees.
The two-week courses run from June 6-17 and will provide the pastors with 3 continuing education units. These courses are part of the Metro Manila District’s Philippine Theological Education Extension (TEE) Program which is credited through Philippine Nazarene College (PNC) and the Visayan Nazarene Bible College (VNBC).
APNTS and the Philippine Church of the Nazarene warmly thank the Sangamdong Church of the Nazarene, Onnuri Methodist Church and sponsors for their generous support and continued partnership.
